Event Video and Display Loops
Co-production, editing, and looping video for event and display screens
Much of the video I made at the Tampa Bay Chamber played on screens people walked past: the display outside the boardroom, venue screens, and projections at major events. The centerpiece is the 2021 Annual Meeting video, which I co-produced with the Chamber’s senior director of strategic communications and marketing, then adapted for the website and for a captioned display loop that ran most of the year.
2021 Annual Meeting video, with captions I built for the silent display version.
- Senior Director, Strategic Communications & Marketing: script, first storyboard, and speaker direction for the Annual Meeting film
- Croow: production lead on the Annual Meeting film
- Venue AV teams: projection and screen playback
- Kitefliers Studios
- Premiere Pro
The Challenge
Most of these screens were seen by people on their way somewhere: into a board meeting, across a lobby, into an event. Video for them had to work without sound, loop without a visible seam, and fit whatever shape the screen happened to be.
The 2021 Annual Meeting Film
- Edited the script and storyboard with the senior director before filming, tightening story flow and tone.
- Oversaw production quality on set, watching framing, lighting, and pacing while the senior director worked with each speaker.
- Reviewed edits in post-production and enforced brand standards across the film.
- Cut a B-roll version without dialogue to run in the hero of the Chamber's home page.
- Transcribed the film and built its captions so it could run silently on the display outside the main boardroom.
Display Loops and Event Screens
- Built and maintained the content for the multipanel display outside the Chamber's main boardroom from 2019 to 2024: a 16:9 zone promoting events with video and stills, a portrait slideshow of major sponsors and Small Business of the Year nominees and winners, and a scrolling welcome message.
- Created a recurring identity for the Chamber's annual benchmarking trips, built as 20-second seamless loops over stock footage, each with a QR code to sign up.
- Proposed a projected sponsor loop for the Small Business of the Year Awards at the Straz Center, then built it, and the AV vendor projected it from the second floor onto the curtains of the Morsani Hall lobby as guests arrived.
- Built sponsor loops to the specifications of individual venue screens, including the Florida Aquarium's irregularly shaped screen for Military Appreciation, with moving footage behind the sponsor panels.
Benchmarking trips: one layout each year, with the destination’s outline, footage, and dates swapped in.
